Hello,
My name is Nathan Pepmeyer. I am 19 years old and live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Over the past year I have fallen in love with painting and the ability to express myself through art. I am starting the "i paint for hugs" program to help elementary schools with struggling art programs. Over the next year I hope to raise 10,000 dollars by selling my paintings and donating the profits in the form of 10, 1,000 dollar "Art Grants" to 10 Pittsburgh Area schools. Each painting can be bought for 1 hug and your monetary donation to the program.
Recently, I helped co-create a non-profit coalition called "Pittsburgh Arts for Change". P.A.F.C. will be the main identity under which many programs like and including "i paint for hugs" will function. Artists, musicians, thespians, and others that wish to make a difference in Pittsburgh through the donation of their time, talent, and/or treasures will be encouraged to become active participants in the group. Pittsburgh Arts For Change as an entity will strive to build up the city by broadening the creation and appreciation of all forms of art.
